    Cork is one of the most earth-friendly materials available. A harvested cork oak tree absorbs up to 5x the amount of CO2 than one that isn't cultivated. No trees are cut down during harvest. The bark is stripped by hand every 9 years and regenerates itself. Cork trees support some of the world’s most biodiverse forests. To honor this, we plant trees for every mat sold and offset 100% of our carbon footprint.

    • Mat and blocks: cork is naturally antimicrobial. For a deeper clean, simply spray with a natural mat cleaner and let dry.
    • Strap: hand or machine washable, natural detergent recommended, air dry.
    • Bag: air out between classes, and if you need a deeper clean hand wash or set on a delicate wash cycle with natural detergent, air dry.
    • Cork, tree rubber and cotton are 100% biodegradable. Metal components are recyclable.

    A breath of fresh air

    I am so happy that I purchased this cotton yoga mat bag set! I was searching for a truly sustainable, biodegradable alternative to my plastic yoga mat for a long time before finding this one (I donated my plastic yoga mat so it did not end up in a landfill). So many companies that claim they are using real rubber are actually using a synthetic rubber substitute which is NOT biodegradable or natural (an example is Jade yoga mats - look carefully at their FAQ about their rubber source) and they often use a glue between the rubber and cork of questionable source. But this one is 100% biodegradable. This cork yoga mat is wonderful, and so is the bag - it is very durable, and the perfect size to fit my mat, water bottle, scrunchie, blocks, and strap. I wanted the bag strap to come around one shoulder, diagonally cross my back, and rest at my opposite hip: the strap is a bit long for this in its original configuration, but if you keep one end of the strap clipped in, thread the strap though the opposite metal loop, and then adhere the second clip on the same metal loop as the first, you can get this "diagonal" length perfect for your body. I bike everywhere, and this bag is PERFECT for biking to my yoga class. Do not be afraid of the weight of the cork yoga mat - first of all, your yoga practice makes you strong enough to carry an extra couple pounds, and secondly you will literally not even notice the difference after carrying it a few times. If you are like me, searching for better, truly earth-based yoga materials, ananday is doing it waaaay better than any company I have seen. It also came with literally zero plastic packaging as promised. I feel much more connected to the earth when my hands are touching real cork rather than plastic. Would definitely recommend this product. So glad I treated myself! :)

    Love this mat!! Buy it.

    I have used PVC mats in the past, and after completing YTT I wanted to get something that would not only better support my practice; but something sustainable as well. This mat is the perfect blend of performance and sustainability. I loved purchasing the whole set, the bag is amazing; I love that it holds that mat and blocks so easily. Loving everything about this set/purchase.

    Love, love, love!!

    Originally, I was just planning to buy the canvas yoga bag, but after reading about Anaday's mission, I was really inspired to go full cork. No regrets! I love my new Ananday mat. It feels so buttery against my skin and has just the right amount of cushion. Not to mention, the bag is just about everything I was looking for! I love that I can fit my blocks with my mat and strap. Now I just need to get the mat cleaner to keep everything fresh and clean, and then the ball set... and then the travel mat - I want them all!

    LOVE THIS BUNDLE!!!!! BUY BUY BUY!!!!

    I am on a weight loss journey and I have been searching for the perfect mat, that is both comfortable and non-slip to support my weight and be durable for the usage—I have found gold! This is the most comfortable mat for my body and my knees (I am 5’6 and 230lbs for reference), the thickness is just right for my yoga exercises and the blocks are also very comfortable to grip on as I use them for support in some of my stretching exercises. Everything does fit in the bag perfectly, I’m so happy with my purchase and I will definitely be purchasing again and when I do I will leave another review to tell you guys about how the mat turned out. See you when I’m a couple pounds lighter, haha! ALSO, I Loved the mat soon as I touched it. The quality is immaculate!

    Just got in my complete yoga set and wow! The mat is extremely comfortable, the blocks feel so sturdy and I really enjoy the travel bag which fits everything inside nicely. You won’t regret purchasing this set!

    Amazing!

    I’ve had a cheap, plastic yoga mat for years that’s been making any kind of exercise difficult. It recently came to the end of its lifespan and I decided to go for a green mat! And boy oh boy, it’s everything I wanted! It’s beautiful, doesn’t slip across my floor thanks to the tree rubber base, my hands and feet finally stick when things get sweaty, AND it’s made of renewable (not to mention compostable) materials! Love this company’s ethos, and their customer service is tip top. I also got the bag, blocks, and strap and those are also all very beautiful and well-constructed. 100% would recommend Ananday. This mat brings me joy every day.

    Hands Down Best Yoga Mat

    I’ve been practicing yoga for 4 years now and have ALWAYS had issues with my hands slipping in downward dog and other similar moves where my weight rests in my palms, This yoga mat is the only mat I have ever tried where there is absolutely no slipping. If your hands start to get clammy/wet it actually increases the grip you have!! I truly could not believe it until I tried it. The fact that the best / highest performing option is also the most eco-conscience and sustainable made it a no-brainer for me! The mat is beautiful, comfortable, and helps instead of hurts mama earth. When you purchase a mat they actually plant trees! Not to mention it comes in plastic free packaging. All in all one of the most rewarding purchases I’ve made in a long time. If you are looking for a yoga mat, beginner or expert, I can’t recommend this one enough. The blocks are fantastic as well, made from the same cork material as the mat. The only thing I will say about the yoga mat bag is that its a bit short, the mat will fit in side but its a tight fit. Don’t think I could fit a water bottle inside but I can definitely hang mine off the strap so its not an issue. The bag also has an outside pocket that fits my phone which is great.
